Are you a writer and In need of a new laptop?

Best Laptop for Writers

Do you need a new laptop for writing? If so, there are many factors to consider when making your purchase. The type of writing you do, the software you require, and your budget are critical factors. This blog post will recommend laptops that we believe are the best for writers. Whether you’re a student, a freelance writer, or someone who works in corporate communications, one of these laptops will suit your needs!

Why do writers need a laptop?

There are many reasons why writers need laptops. The first reason is that laptops are portable, which means you can take them wherever you go. Being portable is essential for writers who often travel or don’t have fixed office space. Laptops are also relatively lightweight, especially something like an Apple laptop like the MacBook Air, and are easy to carry around, making them ideal for writers who are always on the go. Brilliant battery life and upgrades such as the Intel HD graphics and laptop screen help to make a solid laptop for writers.

Another reason writers need laptops is that they offer a wide range of features and applications that can be used for writing. For example, many laptops come with word processing software, that is essential for any writer. Some laptops also come with other helpful writing tools, such as spell checkers and grammar checkers. Additionally, many laptops come with software that can be used for research, such as a web browser and a library of online resources.

Finally, laptops are relatively affordable, making them a good option for writers on a budget. While some high-end laptops can cost several thousand dollars, there are also many mid-range and budget-friendly options available for less than $1000 (£800).

Now that we’ve answered the question, “Why do writers need laptops?”, let’s look at some of the best laptops for writers.

4. Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360

The Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360 is a superb lightweight laptop that does everything well. When it runs Windows 11 operating system, with its Intel Core i5, you will find it is one of the my favourite laptops that you will use.

With an AMOLED screen that is bright and perfect whether you use it indoors or outdoors. The laptop comes with an S-pen that is a great feature and works really well with the laptop.

Sound on the laptop comes from the Dolby Atmos which is pretty convincing and offers crisp sounds.

The laptop is very lightweight, I’d even go on to say one of the lightest laptops I have tried and the battery life is superb and will last for longer than a day. Other laptops in this price range, are simply not as elegant and pleasurable to use. It would also be great for video editing if you ever needed to include videos in your articles.

  • Excellent battery life

  • Can be quite expensive depending on which model
  • Prone to fingerprints and smudge marks
  • No slot for the S-pen, it attaches magnetically
  • Not many USB ports
  • Very similar to an Apple MacBook Air in my opinion

The 11th generation Intel Core processors handles any program with ease, especially with Windows 11 operation system.
